It's latest in the evolution of our Omegalite series. Now in it's fifth generation, we've answered climbers' needs for a carabiner that fits well in your hands, has a huge gate opening, and features a rope-friendly True Radius. Once again, we utilize our exclusive process known as ISO Cold Forging to build a hot-forged design at a reasonable, cold-forged cost.

It is versatile and tractable. It is functional in any of your favorite gate configurations: straight, bent, locking or wire. It's large enough that you can work routes with it; grab the bottom carabiner on a draw and you can still clip your cord. For Ice Climbing, even bulky gloves don't inhibit your ability to clip it.

At 37gm, it's a featherweight (shave pounds off your rack by trading up!) and the Ovalized-D frame means you can stack them and reverse the gates just like on ovals and regular D's. With over 25mm of gate clearance, it's a perfect clipping carabiner. Its wide rope-bearing surface is a true radius, which means there aren't any flat spots in the interior to wreck your ropes. Finally, an all-mountain wiregate. Versatile, Functional.

Our JC represents the very edge of sophisticated cold forging. See the longitudinal grooves in the corners? That’s U-Channel Construction and despite how it may appear, we didn’t remove metal for weight-savings. Instead, imagine taking round bar stock and cleaving it lengthwise. Spread the split open and you wind up with more surface area on the opposite side. This type of cold forging operation wasn’t even possible before we invented ISO Cold Forging and it provides you with an interior rope radius of over 11mm from 10mm bar stock! That means it’s easier on your ropes than any other carabiner in its weight/size class.

The JC’s asymmetric shape makes it easy to handle and lightning-fast to clip. It’s at home on either end of a quickdraw, on cam slings or in our Alpine Quickdraw.
