This self-righting system maintains the Sked in a nearly vertical position even in rough water. Two ridig foam side floats and an inflatable chest bladder provide buoyancy sufficient to support two rescuers in water in addition to the patient. A 15 lb. foot ballast bag keeps the foot end down and the head elevated out of the water. Rapid deployment version utilizes C02 inflatable logs in place of ridid floats. Made in USA.

    This Sked type litter is designed for use in mass casualty incidents or Haz-Mat incidents. Patients can be rolled or dragged onto the HMD Sked rather that lifted. This creates less rescuer fatigue and requires fewer rescuers to be exposed in the Hot Zone at a Haz-Mat incident. It can be easily dragged be personnel wearing level. A protection or even pulled by a rope connected outside the area requiring level A protection.

    The smaller version of the Sked Basic Rescue System measures 28" by 7 ft., and is ideal for children or smaller adults. The pediatrics system comes with the same accessories as the full size Sked, but uses a smaller bag. Although smaller, this system still works perfectly with the standard Sked flotation system and the Oregon Spine Splint II.
