The unique design of Blue Water's Armor Tech rope also gives it excellent cut resistant properties, advantageous in rock scaling and construction applications. Essentially a rope in a rope, it is constructed by braiding a Technora sheath over a kernmantle rope. Even after complete failure of the Technora sheath, the underlying rope still maintains its full strength. Light and General use.

  • Technora melts at 1200' F on all Ropes.
  • Tensile Strength Nylon: 5200 lbs., - Nylon melts at 460°F with progressive strength loss above 300°F.
  • Polyester: 3600 lbs., Polyester melts at 480°F with progressive strength loss above 300°F. HMPE melts at 300°F with progressive strength loss above 150°F.
  • Cover & Core: 4000 lbs. - Technora melts at 1200' F.

    Good resistance to the passage of electrical current. However, dirt, surface contaminants, water entrapment, and the like can significantly affect dielectric properties. Extreme caution should be exercised any time a rope is in the proximity of live circuits.

    Sunlight/UV: Very little degradation from sunlight. Can be used outside over long term if inspected regularly.
