The use of the 90 degree elbow removes the severe kink in the air duct and allows for rotation of the intake duct to any desired position at the street level. The new black Saddle Vent and companion 90 degree elbow is manufactured with conductive polyethylene material. Grounding lugs are mounted on each device. They are used to connect the steel grounding wires provided without conductive to the conductive Saddle Vent and elbow. This makes a compelte electrical circuit all the way back to the explosion-proof blower where the final grounding lug is located. The electric blower must be connected to a grounded electrical source and thus completes the full electrical circuit. It provides a path for static electricity to travel to a grounded source thus preventing a build up on the surface of the ducting or Saddle Vent.
